Kid's For Christ - Serving Impact

November 21st

1st -5th grades and Kindergarten with parents

Bring a sack lunch. Lunch will be eaten in the FLC before the bus leaves at 12:30.

Children will help stock the Impact Food Pantry and serve lunch.

Bring money for an ice cream stop on the way home.

Pick up at 3:30.

PACK THE WHOLE PULPIT AREA!

We want to share our many blessings!!!!!!

Items needed:

Chili

Beef Stew

Green beans

Corn

Peas

Mixed Vegetables

RamenNoodles*

*Impact needs lots and lots of Ramen Noodles

At Walmart you can buy them by the case, you get more for your money with the plastic packages of noodles instead of the cups.

Parents this is a great opportunity to raise your children with compassionate hearts. Please take the time to read to them what this ministry does to be the hands and feet of Jesus and they can be a part it!!

Kid's For Christ (K-5th grade students) painted these crosses as a service project for the Firefighters. Thanks to Michelle King for making the crosses and to Melissa Green and Hannah Overmyer for helping to hot glue the rope on the crosses.

Pictures From Kid's For Christ

Sunday afternoon, we had 9 children stay for Kid's For Christ. The theme of the day was Safety We 1) made crosses to honor the firefighters that help keep us safe.

2) Read the Berenstain Bears book, "The Golden Rule" and talked about how we should treat others and what to do if someone is bullying us.

3) We had a short Tae Kwon Do lesson by Master Victor Jordan of Tiger Rock Tae Kwon Do and we talked about what to do if someone tries to physically attack.

November Kid's For Christ

Every other month we alternate a "fun" activity with a "service" activity. November will be a field trip of choice by the parent coordinators. Please let Shannon know ASAP if you are willing to coordinate and sponsor November's Kids For Christ.

Kid's For Christ - Tomorrow!

Don't forget that Kid's For Christ will meet immediately tomorrow after worship in the Worship 411 room. The plan is:

1) Lunch

2) Decorate gifts for the Firefighters

3) Story time to review the Golden Rule and how we respond to those that do not treat us with respect.

4) At 3:00 PM, Mr. Jordan, a local Tae Kwon Do instructor, will review general safety issues with the kids and how to respond in an emergency. Parents are invited to attend the presentation.

5) Pick up at 3:30 (or slightly after, when the presentation concludes).

We will be making gifts for the Firefighters for Firefighter Sunday.

One final detail has yet to be determined that affects the cost. More information soon.

Sunday Morning News

New Three Year Old Class
Every year, we have some sweet two year olds that turn three after September 1st. Gradually, they seem too old for a Cradle Roll class but still too young for a preschool class. In March, this Sunday to be exact, we will start a special new class just for these "baby three's". The class will meet in the preschool hallway and will be taught by Donale and Dawn.

Kid's For Christ Zoo Trip
Tomorrow, immediately after worship, the children will meet in the FLC, they will eat their sack lunches, and will load the bus at 12:30 sharp to head to the Houston Zoo. This is for all kids that are in 1st-5th grade and for Kindergarten with their parents. Hope to see you there!

Bring Your Bible Challenge
First Grade won the first challenge. Ready for challenge #2! First grade should be the "good examples" and everyone else has a chance to win!

Teachers Needed
We still need some teachers and helpers in Cradle Roll and Preschool on Sunday and Wednesday. Please contact Shannon if you'd like to help!
