Family Worship This Sunday (no nursery or King's Court)

CSK was able to move the last of their classes, MDO A&B, over to their new facility on Monday. These classes met in the nursery area and we knew that once they moved we'd need to freshen up the nursery. Fresh paint is already on the walls. The floors will be cleaned thoroughly next week and new furniture and toys will be added to the room. We have decided to CLOSE THE NURSERY this Sunday ONLY in order to finish these updates.

THE NURSERY AND KING'S COURT WILL NOT BE MEETING THIS SUNDAY MORNING.

Many volunteers work hard to provide the convenience of a nursery and preschool children's worship. We know this schedule change will be an inconvenience for some, but, ask for your blessing as we prepare this FRESH, NEW nursery facility.

CRADLE ROLL (BIBLE CLASS FOR BABIES) WILL MEET IN THE CRY ROOM.

We know that MANY of you will be excited to see the FRESH, NEW nursery and preschool classrooms open in the next couple of weeks.

HELP WILL BE NEEDED THIS WEEK TO SET UP THE NURSERY AND NEXT WEEK TO SET UP THE PRESCHOOL CLASSROOMS.

Please continue to pray for our volunteers and leaders as we prepare these new classroom spaces. And, know that we NEED YOU to provide these services to parents each Sunday morning.

New Nursery and Cradle Roll Director - Emily Barclay

If you have children in the Cradle Roll classes, you have probably met Emily. Her family placed membership here a year or so ago. She has a sweet baby boy and is a stay-at-home Mom. She has been sharing the responsibility of teaching the baby class with Jessica Mynes for several months.

Emily has agreed to coordinate our nursery, Cradle Roll, and childcare needs for KWCOC. Emily will be giving you a call if you serve in one of these ministries. She is already hard at work reviewing policies and determining how to better communicate the details that are needed to make the nursery run smoothly. If you have children in this age group, you will notice some changes. Please go with the flow as we figure out some of the important tasks that need to be accomplished to make the nursery even better!

Emily will also help to maintain our supplies in the nursery and cradle roll. So, if you know we are out of an item, let her know.

One of Emily's big jobs is coordinating our paid childcare workers. If your need childcare for ANY EVENT at the church building, let Emily know a few weeks early and she will line up the childcare for you. She will let you know if you need to ask parents to share the cost of childcare or if it the childcare needs are covered in the budget.

Emily will be coordinating our Parent's Night Out. She is super excited to serve in this way and to help the ministry designed to enrich marriages by providing parent's affordable childcare for night out.

Please give Emily a big "welcome" to our Children's Ministry leadership team and support her as much as possible.

Easter Egg Hunt - March 29th

Thank you to Cynthia Bell and Brandy Vowels for coordinating this year's Easter Egg Hunt. Here are our sweet children up through 2nd grade on the church playground just before the chaos of the hunt. Everyone had a great time!

Nursery Workers

If you are one of our regular nursery workers, thank you! You do a great service to the children and parents each week.

As you know, we schedule our volunteers every quarter. That schedule is now available on the calendar at the www.kingwoodkids.org website.

If I know your email address, you will receive notification of your service time and responsibility three times before your service date. The first one will be the initial day we add you to the calendar. This is a good time to add the information to your calendar. The second email will be 5 days before your scheduled Sunday and the final email will come on Saturday.

Please, if you cannot serve, make arrangements to switch with someone else and/or let Jana Kay McHam know of the change.

Sunday Morning News

New Three Year Old Class
Every year, we have some sweet two year olds that turn three after September 1st. Gradually, they seem too old for a Cradle Roll class but still too young for a preschool class. In March, this Sunday to be exact, we will start a special new class just for these "baby three's". The class will meet in the preschool hallway and will be taught by Donale and Dawn.

Kid's For Christ Zoo Trip
Tomorrow, immediately after worship, the children will meet in the FLC, they will eat their sack lunches, and will load the bus at 12:30 sharp to head to the Houston Zoo. This is for all kids that are in 1st-5th grade and for Kindergarten with their parents. Hope to see you there!

Bring Your Bible Challenge
First Grade won the first challenge. Ready for challenge #2! First grade should be the "good examples" and everyone else has a chance to win!

Teachers Needed
We still need some teachers and helpers in Cradle Roll and Preschool on Sunday and Wednesday. Please contact Shannon if you'd like to help!

New Three Year Class Teachers Needed

It's that time of the year when we look at our sweet little toddlers in our 24 month - 36 month old class and think, "oh my, how you've grown". Because, during the course of the previous six months since class promotions, quite a few of these precious 2 year olds have turned 3.

It's time they began a preschool class of their own. However, I need teachers for that class. Please consider teaching these precious children this spring and summer. We have great curriculum that will help you to effectively share God's word with the children. All we need is YOU! This class needs to begin the first Sunday in March.

Let me know if you can help.

We are also going to be in need of Cradle Roll teachers in the fall. Please let Jessica Mynes know of your willingness to help.
